Jokes aside, you don't seem to listen to music that doesn't have nothing less than crystal clear production,
so I can see why a little bit of noise (intentional or otherwise) seems to bother you

The first time I listened to Rust in Peace by Megadeth I was blown away by the perfect production. It sounds so god damn good. Yes, I like a clean production, but just in terms of lack of noise and a balanced sound stage. I don't like overproduction though.

This comes up every time and I usually ignore it, but I don't think you understand that A7X's second album
is actually considered a good metalcore album. Stop assuming shit based on their newer stuff.

Even when the noise serves a purpose? It's not like it's random white noise that has nothing to do with the
music. Perhaps looking at it from a different perspective can alter your view on this album (and music in
general)

that's exactly what it is though
it's a good album
it's definitely not a 5/5 post-rock release
In fact if you're 5ing anything that's not godspeed you're doing it wrong

Post-rock? Obviously you don't understand where I am coming from. I listen to metal, and all kinds of it.
Post-rock is fucking boring to me. To the metal world, Waking the Fallen is considered a staple metalcore
album. The user average is 3.7, even though I don't need a user average to support my belief that it is an
amazing album. Don't tell me I have to submit to "post-rock" and rate metal 4 or under, because that's
bullshit.

I wouldn't imply anything of the kind. 4.5 is for metal releases, but only sludge metal releases. 4 and under is for everything else.

I rate based on how much I enjoy an album. I enjoy Rust in Peace much more than I do the Seer. Doesn't matter that the Seer is technically far more complex and open ended.

he's right though avenged sevenfold has shaped the face of music as we know it

Actually, Waking the Fallen did have a sizable impact on metalcore. 2000-2002 A7X is considered one of the first new age metalcore bands that followed 90s hardcore/metalcore.

They were the first ones to do things second, right.

Everyone is always taking from what they already know. Early metalcore was an extension of hardcore
punk...does that mean Converge or Botch were second to do what they did? No. Avenged Sevenfold formed in
1999, and were apart of the creation of the newer wave of metalcore.
