titan, did they shoot the reflective confetti when you saw em during culling voices? i spent a good while tryna figure out if it was part of the laser show or actual confetti lmao it was actually a pretty sick feature added a ton of depth to the visuals

genuinely have never paid more than £30 for a concert lol how do you justify paying that much
especially when you factor in travel and such, even when i was trying to get regina spektor tickets before they sold out it was comparatively cheap at like £60, i don't get paying that much unless it's a once-in-a-lifetime performance like the kate bush run a while back or a straight up festival and even that's pushing it

Oh my god what the hell were they thinking with that pricing 😂😱🤮
They totally suck. Seriously. What the hell.
"That vinyl announcement prompted me to lower my rating."
Totally get that. Ridiculous decision on their part.

'But really it's just music for people who have tattoos (on their body) in 2022.'
So their market is enormous now then - and includes (but is not limited to) people who makes 'careers' out of doing stupid / crude / lewd / shit on telly? Wow, this band changed.
Also maybe that's why the vinyl is so expensive, just a case of supply and demand. Then again for something so unexclusive as Tool, surely they could produce more and cut costs? Probably doesn't hold water, that's a thought... does the vinyl hold water? Perhaps. Someone pass me the Fibonacci sequencer.

Their attitude just plainly sucks. A very unlikable bunch.

I thought everybody knew that the "high quality audiophile vinyl sound" is merely a method used by capitalists to milk money from suckers. Apparently not? Imagine buying into that shit lmao when it's been scientifically proven that CD and vinyl audio quality cannot be distinguished by the human ear *unless they have a different mastering. Vinyl collectors are simply retarded in my opinion.
Tool, like any aging band in their 60s, is 100% profit driven. Trust me, other popular artists will soon take example and sell their vinyls at 1000$, with dog poop inside just for you as an extra. As long as suckers exist such offers will sell. And it will not hurt the band's image, because at their age their legendary status is already cemented and only their wallet matters.

I agree with a lot of that Baseline, but not with this "And it will not hurt the band's image,".

Why not? Tool's potentially (!) declining ?vinyl-buying? fanbase pales compared to the amount of new fans they attract each year. It should be quite clear by now that this band has the rare quality of perpetually exploding in popularity without doing anything. Tool's price practices for a medium addressed to a small hipster part of their fanbase (vinyl discs) will not influence the average Joe, hell, I bet 95% of their larger fanbase will not even find out about this.
