It's a perfectly okay album. Saying this is better than altars blessed and covenant is the terrible take. Horrible take actually. Those 3 are all time classics this is never regarded as a top tier album majority of the time.

How well they’re regarded doesn’t matter to me, this one is my favorite. Trey’s weird riffs are in full effect and Steve Tucker is a more than worthy replacement for Vincent. Overall I prefer the Tucker era of the band and that includes Heretic

Yeah, I didn't even know about the Hexenhaus thing until a year or so ago. Then again, I've never liked band artwork that's ripped straight from another source. As much as I love Cause of Death by Obituary, the cover art always bugged me for the same reason
