agree, but they are closer than most, although the sound may be a product of the production , or lack there of in the 70's and everybody worked in an organ back then too

Pretty close to hair metal [2]



Or if you're just against that term, it's damn near glam metal/rock. It is better than a lot of offerings in said genre though. Probably even better than most.

As far as considering them hair or glam metal, i will have to disagree. They may have looked the part more than anything else and there may be elements sprinkled throughout Appetite, but these guys knew how to write songs and had the respect from so many bands not associated with the whole glam metal scene.



Just pure, filthy hard rock served on a dirty dish that happened to break out during the height of the hair metal movement.
