"In short, periphery represents everything that's wrong with modern metal. It's sterile, calculated, and devoid of any real artistic vision. It's music for people who want to look cool and edgy without actually challenging themselves or engaging with the genre on a deeper level."

I like overly sanitary music, I like when things are polished to the nth degree, though I can definitely see why one would favor a rawer sound. Periphery have an artistic vision, you may not like their artistic vision, but it's definitely there. Periphery was the band that introduced me to the world of prog (I had known of the likes of Dream Theater before but they never hooked me back then, though I like them now), and if not for them, I probably would not have heard the likes of Tool, Opeth, or Mastodon (bands you very well most likely gush over telling from a lot of your remarks).

"So, excuse me if I don't jump on the periphery bandwagon. I'll take my prog metal with a side ofheart, thank you very much."

tracks like the aforementioned Dying Star, as well as Absolomb, or Erised have tons of heart, you may want to relisten.

Let me tell you something, repeating someone's words as a comeback is the lamest thing you could possibly do. It shows that you don't have a single original thought in that tiny little brain of yours, and that the only way you know how to argue is by copying someone else's words like a parrot. It's like you're so desperate to win an argument that you'll stoop to the lowest level of intellectual laziness just to get one up on your opponent. But newsflash, buddy: it doesn't work. You just end up looking like a sad, pathetic loser who can't come up with anything clever or original to say.

And let's not forget how hurtful and damaging this kind of behavior can be. It's a way of dismissing someone's ideas and belittling them without actually engaging with their argument. It's the ultimate cop-out, a way of shutting down conversation and preventing any real progress from being made.

So, here's the deal: if you want to engage in real debate and discussion, you need to grow a pair and come up with your own damn arguments. Don't be a coward who hides behind other people's words. Be your own person, think for yourself, and actually contribute something of value to the conversation. Otherwise, just shut the hell up and let the adults do the talking.

Copypasta, the lazy and uncreative practice of copying and pasting text from one place to another, is an absolute scourge upon the internet. It represents the death of originality and the triumph of the lowest common denominator. Instead of taking the time to craft their own thoughts and ideas, copypasta users choose to regurgitate tired and oftentimes offensive memes, jokes, and rants. It's a mindless, mind-numbing practice that contributes nothing of value to any online community. It's the equivalent of showing up to a party and repeating the same tired jokes and stories you've heard a million times before, and expecting people to find you interesting or clever. Copypasta is a blight on the internet, and those who engage in it should be ashamed of their lack of creativity and originality.
