RIP mem. Was debating wearing a mask to the show tonight so I don't end up being a bedridden flu boy for Christmas

Title track really is one of their best songs, it feels more like a closer than anything yet having it slotted at track 5 also feels like the perfect springboard into the second half of the album.

I quickly tired of their formula of saying something emotionally profound and then following it with a breakdown
‘MY DOG DIED YESTERDAY’
Dun—duh duh dun-dun

nah its exactly what the album needs where it comes on. but like i think this is better off mixing it up and not hitting you w the heavy nonstop so

I’m just not a fan of the cleans on this as a whole, and out of everything I find that one the biggest offender. It works on the closer though

idk the cleans didnt bother me at all on this.
band has a good sense of melody and i thought it worked

this is still def my top counterparts and ended up being my aoty. shit i fuckin 5d it lmfao i did not expect going in since this was a textbook 4.5 tier band for me but i cant not jam this like 10 times in a row whenever i jam it once. was always curious how theyd introduce more melody into their sound and it really helps take this album to the next level for me
also i fuckin love the intro track here those swells of reversed guitar are stunning. shit could make up like a 2 min track and i wouldnt complain

Man I'm so torn between this and Hell & Home being their best one. H&H holds obviously a lot of nostalgic value (IT TURNS FUCKING TEN THIS YEAR!?!?!) for me, whereas the songwriting here just feels more tight all-around. All of their previous albums has had at least one skip for me whereas the only thing that even remotely comes close to being skip-worthy here is "Sworn To Silence".
I'll probably have a definitive answer within a year or so.
