Yeah not a great stretch. Weird lack of variety here. The drums feel light and fluffy and bouncy every single song. Whole thing feels like a singular vibe where nothing really shines - not the melodies, not the instruments, maybe the lyrics but even then a step down

I haven't decided on 'No Fear' yet...there's something attractive about it, feel like it has the essence of the full album and it artfully wanders about. Maybe it's too formless in the long run...
The Laraaji input is hit and miss for me...but some of it is hit though, his vocals mix well at least a few times - does emphasise the material is a lot more 'one take/jam session'

@butt. I guess as someone who was already a fan of his work it comes more naturally to me but I can see why it’d be off putting lol. His harp playing sounds nice on All Night imo

Lenker has to come up with a lot of standard songs for her solo albums now so not too surprised this new one is more loose, improvised and atmospheric.
Maybe that'll be the general divide in her song writing input going forward?
