i think they're just trying to make the album diverse bc cure/pale iris if anything feel like they're forcing the heavy

and yea house of glass is insane. they're better at tool riffs than tool is now lol

"I struggle to get into any of Periphery's music because of the vocals. Tried so many times."

F

if anything, i struggle more with Misha's solo work WITHOUT Spencer's vocals, and even then it's still good, I just associate his voice with Misha's work atp

>car crash songwriters

They really aren't. Almost all their songs make sense as to what they're going for and their grooves/melodies are so good.

Also damn this new single is mid as fuck.

the grooves and melodies are generally good, it's how it's all pieced together that gets sloppy. they had it goin for one album but j look no further than wildfire for "fun parts assembled at borderline random". they walked back on hail stan hard there's maybe three or four songs on p5 that feel fully coherent to me

makes the occasion they lock in very satisfying tho

yooo right yes insane trio. such perfect sequencing too eidolon sets remnant up amazingly and it makes both songs better than they are standalone (which theyre already realllllly fucking good on their own lol)

I agree I think it’s gonna be a 3 and probably their worst but I’m hoping my expectations are low and they shock me

From what I've heard i will probably at least have it above Neon. Weirdly formulaic pacing to each song.
