'From what i've heard CoL seems to place their vocals in a way that i like quite a bit'
Then it seems we don't have a problem here, I hope you continue to enjoy the ride.

I respect the guy, but his taste in metal/hardcore is kinda shit
Should just stick to reviewing pop, hip-hop and country. That's what his audience probably want from him anyways

I believe there's cool stuff out there (other than that) though

Modern commercialised 'mainstream' hip-hop is a stain on music and humanity in general, but I'm willing to bet there's some worthwhile stuff out there. In fact I've heard the odd (usually older) song I like, just couldn't tell you who it was by.

Hip-hop can be ait once in a while. Same goes for pop.
Country and americana though... fucking hell, son.

Ironically, Americana by Offspring is not done in the genre of Americana.

I have noticed this and am interested in your endeavours, if you want some (fairly basic) recs then I'm all ears, currently on '16% electronic' whatever that means to Sput. If you want more advanced recs then just stalk Relinquished/Potsy, that's what I did for a while, haha.

I'm definitely not looking for something obscure or not that well known yet, Demon. Figured I'd start with the big names in the game first.

agree with fantano 100% wish I could like it more. Cant.
Also of course there are TONS of amazing Hip hop artists and MCs out there. If you take your observations frorm the mainstream on hip hop as much as metal youre going to conclude that loads of it is shite.

@Demon i think so. Right now i'm going through Opeth and Thrice discog in preparation for their respective concerts in Novembre, i'll try to fit in CoL in the course of this quarter
