As apprehensive I am heading into the album, I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up pre-order the all singing all dancing deluxe edition. I did it w/every release starting with Arche so I can’t see myself stopping now if the bonus contents are worth it (i.e. live footage)

All their physical presses since DSS have always been quality, so they won't disappoint there. Regardless if the album is good or not it will be fire live. One of my friends who is eh on Utafumi went mental when she went to Japan on that song.

Apparently the deluxe edition's gonna be 2 CDs/1 BluRay or DVD (depending on your format preference. I'm pretty sure as was the case w/the deluxe edition of Arche, the bonus disc is remixes/maybe a bonus track or two and the video contents are shot in one takes of 2-3 of the new songs, some live footage and an album doc.

pleeease let this get a EU or NA release sooner rather than later. are they still partnered with the label that released Arche in Europe?

I'm not sure, we'll have to see. Either way, imo it doesn't matter since you can import the album using CD Japan.

I'd say try this out the two, quite light and accessible.

isn't that pretty pricey though, with shipping and everything?

For the regular edition, you can get the album for £26 (£21 for album, £4-5 for shipping).

that's not too terribly bad. might actually do that.

edit: the smallest limited edition set is just slightly more, too.

I think that one will have a few remixes plus 1 or 2 extra songs like Arche did (And Zero and Tefu Tefu). I'd order the big limited edition but I want to know if Tue is still with the band or not. idk if you used CD Japan before but you can trust the site, used it many times before.

"I'd order the big limited edition but I want to know if Tue is still with the band or not."

Interestingly enough, when Arche came out there was no indication of whether or not Tue mixed/mastered the album unless you bought a copy of it and saw the liner notes. The most recent release he worked on was Utafumi and before that, the bonus live CD on Arche At Nippon Budokan. Again, you wouldn't know unless you either A) Know Tue's mixing/mastering style so well you could tell just by hearing it (personally, I can't tell cause it's all trivial stuff IMO) and/or B) had a physical copy of either of them and read the liner notes.

And yeah, as mentioned already CDJapan's the place to go if you want to import DEG's albums. I've even imported non-Japanese albums that were distributed by Daymare (Boris' domestic label) from the site simply because those pressings had Japanese exclusive bonus tracks (and were worth it). Used the site too many times to know that they're reliable and trustworthy.

"I always pay extra for that 2-day shipping"

I used to do 2 day shipping, but now I just do airmail cause I don't mind waiting as much if only to cut down on shipping price.

Yeah, that's the problem. I either have to pre-order to support the band but go in blind or get it used after release. It's not a trivial matter to me, as you can tell by how horrendously flat Ningen sounds. If I'm spending that much on a pre-order, I'd like to have some reassurance in quality and Tue being on it means someone I trust is working on it (especially since Adoratio sounds so good, the last album he worked on with Kyo).

CDJapan is where you want to go for regular editions and pre-orders. If you want merch, rarer items or fanclub stuff, then you have to look at alternatives.

Yeah, it's pointless. Galaxy Broad, attending their tours or using Japanese sites will get your merch.

I asked Okami Records on Facebook if they were planning on giving the new album a European release, and they confirmed they are. might hold off for that since I'm trying to save money
