True Love Waits is one of the most heart wrenching songs I've ever heard. Thom stripped bare, free of all metaphor and basically pleading.

I like HTTT I just find it really un-cohesive and as you said, overlong

maybe scattered isn't the right word, but it's definitely less cohesive than, say, Kid A.

HTTT is scattered for sure. In Rainbows flows perfectly.

to me something flowing well doesn't necessarily imply cohesion. I don't think In Rainbows has the same kind of almost narrative force that the top-teir rh albums have. But I know most disagree, and i'm quite possibly just not connecting with it on the same level you are.

Packt Like Sardines In A Crushed Tin Box is maybe the most underrated radiohead song.

Yeah I think In Rainbows has a great flow
Sardines is fucking great but Black Star is probably the most underrated RH song methinks

I think Sardines is one of the most forward thinking radiohead songs. KOL resonates with me in a similar way as that song does.

Most underrated song for me. Bones. I used to fly like Peter Pan. Now incontinence has kicked in. I added that bit.

Hmm, good song but it kills the mood for me following up fake plastic trees

BTW, I just finished The Beast in the Jungle by Henry James and I'm pretty sure Packt Like Sardines is referencing that.

Love that bit Rowan, song builds so well, adding layers and layers before that amazing ending. Colin's bass work is killer on it as well

Henry James' later works are incredible, by the way. Psychological realism at its finest.
