100% it's fractious vicious heaviness not a fucking chicken drumstick

You can’t just throw -ious on the end of words and consider it a good opinion

Plus I quite like chicken despite it being cliche

there are enough accommodating figures of speech on the last page you had your chance
phase two is adjective spam and phase three will be a witch hunt of how many supposed hevymuzak production connoisseurs are dunking on this while routinely lapping up overproduced bilge

I’m def not a connoisseur, I typically find production gripes to be low hanging fruit but I need the heavy to H I T And some production jobs don’t get that done as well as they should. If there isn’t enough punch or too much fuzz sometimes it can muddle a good thing

Prod rules. It is meant to hurt though. They have more pollished/ pleasant prods on their discog.

idk if Moor or Bimbos is this band's creative peak or if I care to parse that hard

Parsing this band for a creative peak is a skill issue! All you need is a quick fix that doesn't sound like a beer belly, hits its mark from the go, and shuts tf up before it starts to grate
Which is probs why this put me off exploring the whole discog — everything I ever needed from them is right here

"everything I ever needed from them is right here"

Was gonna parse the first bit but that felt like forest/treesing myself so I'm just gonna say yes! The meat-to-bite ratio is by far the highest on this as far as ETID albums go outside Hot Damn! and that's really what matters most for this band. Fat always sat a little awkward on them

This is definitely their leanest and most consistently hard-hitting release and the more I consider this, the more I think it isn't particularly close either

Hot Damn! does have a significant nostalgia advantage tho, so I'll give that one a parse

Wished it was a bit louder but yes, this is definitely the best production on an ETID album. Just the perfect album of theirs to have that Converge sound too.
