yeah I'll admit this isn't as memorable as hoped it would be, still better than their last three albums.

listen to Line in the Sand live from Beijing, and if that doesn't convince you that LP are still great, then you are just prejudiced.

they're recording new stuff now iirc, I think Mike said it was going to be softer but not necessarily electronic-driven

Hahn and Shinoda are the best parts of LP. Why does everyone want LP to sound like every other guitar driven band? There are thousands of them.

Nah, not denying that at all. Just think it's weird how everyone always harps on about how LP should be heavier.

But hey. Different strokes.

Who is that in your profile pic butkuiss? It looks like Jerry Seinfeld's cousin or something

It's seinfeld photoshopped onto Macklemore's face. Idk, it was topical back in like 2013

I don't understand why LP get so much flack, seriously they are one of the most hated bands in the world I'd say and yes a lot of their songs are radio rock but most aren't and they are by far the most interesting, ambitious and experimental radio rock band about. They seriously nowadays have such a unique sound

well, they are miles better than a decent portion of their contemporaries.

Yeah I can understand WHY people hate them (some of their singles have been pretty shocking) just not HOW MUCH they hate them. Guess it's just the trendy thing to do, plus Chester's vocals can be pretty damn annoying if you're not used to them

Yeah I get that but it's just I have people who don't really know much about music, who have never heard HT or meteora and probably don't know what 'selling out' is telling me how bad they are. They seem to be hated even within the mainstream rock circles, but who knows why that is.

Yeah I'd say hunting party is probably their best work 'musically', whereas I slightly prefer the experimentation, atmosphere and story of a thousand suns. I don't really like MTM

Yeah my generation is slightly too young for nu metal, but for some reason HT and meteora still give me huge nostalgia (even though I heard them after a thousand suns and living things oddly)

I need to see them live, although I'm worried it'll be full of goons who think they're hardcore for listening to LP
