In their latest interview Holden seems to indicate that there wasn't an actual suicide that inspired this record. "Your Deep Rest" is about his girlfriend who was suicidal at the time. I wonder if my feelings about this record will shift next time I listen; too caught up in Goodness now though.

Yeah I was reading about that, that interview was fantastic. He made it sound as if he'd known a couple people who had killed themselves anyway, and he sort of extrapolated those feelings towards his girlfriend which made the song so real, but I might be mis-interpreting

the only thing that has faded for me is Housebroken which i feel fucks up the flow of the album, nowadays i either play it before i play the album or i skip it tbh
