It's already growing on me and I've only heard it a handful of times. I am pretty confident that the new record will rule.

And I'll delete this if it isn't to destroy the evidence.

The rest of the song is good enough to solicit a few more go's at it. Regardles I'm sure the new record will rip and i'm fucking definitely going to see them with ATG and WITTR this fall. Sooooooooo stoked.

Tbqh I thought the new song sounded like a B-Side from this album, and I say this as a long time fan of most of their work. As is par the course with this band, they put as much/more work into aesthetic presentation and high-production music videos as the songs themselves, and God=Dog was a case of putting sensationalist aesthetics before the immediacy of the song. I've listened to it several times and it's not nearly as memorable as any of the best from The Satanist. My hopes aren't dashed tho, as they almost never let me down ultimately. I don't think they've written a genuinely bad record since (probably) Grom (Incantations was pretty meh tbf).

How tf does this only have a 4 average. It's better than most records on this site with 4.2s and 4.3s. This album is like a career Renaissance. This band delights in indulging polarization and extremism, so I suppose it's no shock, really...

I was just wondering why people overrate this album. I guess they need to send a signal.

I think a 3.5 - 4 is just right for this album imo.
