Listened to this for the first time tonight. Not actually as depressing/dark as I thought it would be. Based on the comments/reviews I've seen for this LP I thought it would be much less dynamic and engaging but it really wasn't that boring at all.

I think lucid made a remark on how much better this was than their last album which was campfire and I made a snarky soundoff lol.
I doubt I'll ever have a moment where all the pieces just fit together. Even as far as their ambient stuff goes In A Beautiful Place blows this away. Amo bishop roden alone is better than the entirety of this. I give them props for their ideas tho. This does have a distinct sound from their other stuff, I just wish it were as engaging. Going through their discography really puts into perspective how desolate and devoid of enjoyment this thing is.
