“I’m against the loudness war but I fully support audible bass“

Tbh, bass is often the first casualty of the loudness war.

Most prog death of the last decade and a half or so is boring as hell to me, but Death did prog death right.

the snare at some points sounds like gunshots. I get goosebumps at around the 32 second mark in "pull the plug" everytime

yeah i was about to say it sounds like the glock in oldschool counter-strike. my issues probably just with the massive reverb, popular producer choice in 80s hair metal. the room they recorded in sounds huge tho

The snare took a little while for me to get used to but now I understand its awesomeness

the first time i heard it was some torrent back in like 2006-2007 lol, it probably was a late 90s-early00s rip. i heard vinyl and cassette rips of it that sounded better than the vers i had sooo maybe i'm just biased, i still hear the roomy drums on all of them tho, reminds me of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JxgjsOw8K0 [changed my link if anyone already clicked]

lol actually yeah a little bit, kinda almost makes me miss the loud ass snare tho. the vox sound clearer and rawer, i can dig thiss. i need to check out the other remasters aswell, only ones i've heard were human(dope) and symbolic(can't really tell the difference)
