rothery?

it would prob be exactly the same as hacketts just shittier yea [3]

Gilmour or Terje Rypdal would probably come closest to being able to pull off a solo like that (Firth of Fifth).

That's like saying The Wall is better then Animals, or Fragile is better then The Downward Spiral.

How is it like that?

The Lamb is more consistent than this so in that regard it's nothing like saying "The Wall is better then Animals".

I know you love Lamb Jamie, but this just pips it. I'm sorry. Much more memorable individual tracks which makes it accessible to everyone. The Lamb is legendary, but for prog heads.

This is more accessible, I guess I can agree with that.

The Lamb is much more rewarding though.

I'd probably have to say it's a tie when it comes to my personal preference, but this record for me has to take the prize because it is a massive gateway album to Genesis' back catalogue.

I don't know, those more memorable individual tracks here would be the epics, and well, those are home

to some typical 70's prog quirks and obviously on the lengthy side. I would argue that the likes of

say, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Counting Out Time and The Carpet Crawlers are more accessible

than anything off this album. That said, to really immerse oneself in the whole of The Lamb is indeed

a more challenging task. But so worth it.
