A couple things that I definitely prefer in this version: the beginning of Stengah (particularly that cool break with the clean guitar); the last minute of Closed Eye Visuals with that gentle melody floating behind the riff; and the fact that Obsidian isn't 8 minutes long lol

Re-listened to this yesterday all the way through and I gotta say... Rational Gaze is the weakest track on here for me. The main riff is sick but the whole middle part of the song is zzz compared to the rest.

I love this band but they give me mixed feelings. In one side you think - OK we get it! Why insist in this?!. On the other hand, if they didn't kept doing what they do, you would never get ObZen or even The Violent Sleep of Reason. So at the end of day i just say...OK...just keep doing...that....pleaase! :P:P
