moonlight sonata is probably one of my least favorite beethoven pieces just based on ratio of quality to ubiquitousness but i feel you for sure
this has stood out as my favorite deathspell record since it came out but fas and katechon have caught up recently
|
| |
he's my favorite as well
chaining the katechon is labeled veritas diaboli manet in aeternum here

It's a bit like Fas and this combined, but still different.

That's one of the reasons why I really like this band.

"I love how they're able to write unique music in a genre that seems to constantly be repeating itself"
You don't listen too much black metal eh?
|
| |
This band has stopped being unique quite a loooooong time ago. Considering the numbers of clones that have been surging in the last few years. They are doing it better than most of them though.

Maybe he is just confused with death metal

well in the moment in which their albums were released, they were definitely unique. just because there is a load of clones now, doesn't mean this band isn't still special. everyone can just copy someone's riffs or sound, but there's a lot more to it to make it work like this band does. also they have that special melodic touch by which you can always recognize it's them.

only bm damn
|
| |
'mood' music and atmospheric stuff is kinda lost on me so i rarely listen to bm besides dso
used to listen to a lot of it, albeit mostly second wave norwegian stuff
