Yeah I just realized it yesterday, shocking, funny and sad.

Glad I was able to see them before it was too late, they played in this Roman theater: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a8/Theater_Kaiseraugst.jpg
One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

"'Red' (the track) is/was heavier than any heavy metal of the time."
And they made Larks pt 1 and 2 1 year earlier and those tracks are even heavier

are they? Definitely better, but heavier?
Red is definitely my least fave here, as much as I was impressed by it way back when

Larks 1 and 2 have probably the heaviest riffs they ever did

🤔 I’ll check again, but we might just have a different definition of the word ‘heavy’ I guess
|
| |
theyre p similar so i feel like its subjective
in terms of quality though i like "red" a lot, maybe my favorite song here. first three tracks all rule though

Red was truely the closest thing to Tool in the seventies. Fallen Angel especially with the ascending/descending riff

" I’ll check again, but we might just have a different definition of the word ‘heavy’ I guess"
I think so too. Honestly even Fallen Angel is heavier than Red
I rate the heaviness in proportion to the stank face I make and the viciousness of the headbanging

Ocean just mentioned Tool so this is now longer a 5… those are the rules
Also, what the hell Ryus? Starless exists
|
| |
i like starless but not as much as the first three tracks tbh.

I like starless as well and I like it more than almost every other song I've ever heard

Album Rating: 4.5
yeah, honestly the rest of the album is probably a 4.2 or something
elevates this to a new plane

Anyone who doesn't think Starless is the best track on here hasn't listened to the album enough. It could be a 4.5 because of Providence, but it's a 5 despite that song being a wet fart
|

that logic never checks out

Providence is better than the t/t and almost equal to Nightmare tho
|

Album Rating: 5.0
'Providence' is great, but saying that it's superior to the t/t is crazy talk. 'Nightmare' I can almost understand b/c the groovy/clappy verses just aren't some people's things.

I only 5d this for Starless and optics
the claps are actually my fav part of the song to be fair
