Circles is amazing. They dug themselves into a solid alt rock groove with this and M/M. Hopefully they try something different when they start to record(?) again.

There's a possibility of them doing something this year! I is excited.

I still think this and M/m sound pretty different even tho I would put them in the same genre.

@Ec well they went a little raw here and M/M sounds a lot more polished so I'd agree with that.

Been good man, just back at work again so I've been jamming Opeth instead of clogging the news feed haha.

Just trying to get over this cold / flu season. It's been a rough month haha, but some sweet albums have been getting me through it.

@Mongi - That, and M/m is more upbeat and, to me, has a fairly similar vibe throughout most of the songs.

Beggars has this weird pattern from track 2 to 9 of a more 'aggressive' song followed by a slower, chill song. It's a very odd but nice flow. Plus, all the slow songs are pretty glorious on here, especially Circles and the T/t. He also uses way more grit on his voice here than M/m, but his cleans on M/m are the best he ever did with Thrice. His voice ages like the finest of wines.

Have you heard It's Not Enough, from his worship album? It's the only song I really like from it, but my goodness... his fucking voice.
