"Refugees" from safe countries

The biggest irony is that we claim to be the most feministic country in the world but the majority of "refugees" that come here are grown men from the middle east. Probably also has to do with womens rights in the respective countries they're coming from but it's still such an overwhelming number.

Override was insane, I was second row behind the barrier and the pit made its way all the way up to us. security got mad about that, they had their work cut out for em with the amount of crowdsurfers lol
setlist was solid, mostly from this album but they played a fair share of their melodeath shit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHLu4Qzg8sg

Damn Kusangii, that's fucked up. Sorry to hear about your friend man.
US law is complicated, with federal laws, state laws, and even city ordinances, among other things. As far as the car accident, I just happen to live in Ohio, which is an at-fault state, but even with that my bro still had to hire an attorney, and it still took forever and a lot of negotiations between the attorney and the insurance company. It wasn't a criminal matter, though.
With theft, especially in a storefront, it's usually easier to prosecute vs getting personal property taken. With the latter, it would often be a civil matter. But in the former, you usually have better recourse. Store owners usually have some form of liability insurance, so that may help. But since it's a criminal matter, ofc you'd file a police report, and you'd give all the info about what was taken, its value (since $$ value determines the severity, like petty theft vs grand theft, etc), and hopefully have security footage to show them. Assuming they're caught, they may be forced to return the items or if that's not possible, restitution will be part of their sentence. Not sure how that works if they don't or can't repay, though.
As for the gangster situation, I definitely can't say for sure how things would've gone here. But you say he was sentenced, I assume for murder? I would think if that were here, then he would've been also charged with extortion or something for what you paid, and ordered to pay it back as part of his sentence. But that also depends on whether or not it can be proven that the money was given to him, among other factors.

Just to note, I'm no lawyer, so I can only speculate based on my limited knowledge of Ohio law. There's a lot of factors that go into any criminal proceeding, so I'm simplifying some things for the sake of not writing an essay, and of course I can't say anything for certain.
What I can say for sure, is that our justice system is far from perfect. Sometimes people get away with shit. Sometimes they don't, but get let off easy for some severe shit, like when rapists get the charge dropped down to GSI and only serve two years. And sometimes people can get sentenced way too harshly for really petty shit.
Looks like I did write an essay anyway lol. Also holy shit that article is fucked up. The rapist got paid wtf??

Damn, didn't even realize they did a show with Morpheus Descends and Vomitory in NYC. That had to be a sick show. Would've been so easy to get to by train too lol.
Looks like they're gonna be in Chicago on Oct 11th though, but with Sodom and Nunslaughter. Gonna have to find a way to make it to that show cuz idk when I'll get the chance to see them again lol.
