"daily reminder that while america was creating everything good we value technologically ever from the 50s-1989, the only thing the soviets produced was tetris "
Nevemind Soviet revolutions in cinematography, sending the first man and woman into space, the first artificial Earth satellite into orbit, achieving the first lunar landing, and building and launching the first space station!

the proportion of funds they put into the space program vs america was immense and at the cost of soviet lives and quality of life
the whole thing was a means of projecting power where there was none
the soviets were basically a paranoid slave state that put all their resources into military, nuclear development, and the space race

Did you hear that about USA being so compromised by Saudi Arabian investments that politicians can't protest their actions in any meaningful way, without putting a lot of jobs at risk?
Now imagine how bad it is in Russia.

of course, the meme is spreading and getting eaten up by all these young naive people with zero self worth exactly like religion, why do you think i put effort into denying it at all turns, better to keep the war to a war of information before it gains any traction in real life as it can and has done in multiple times and places historically
i do my best to emulate nietzsche's battle against nihilism

After industrialization, the death of Stalin, and the rise of Khrushchev and his reforms, the quality of life for the average Soviet citizen was actually among the highest in the entire world, and up until the 1980s (I think), they had a higher life expectancy than the U.S. and a few western European countries. That doesn't mean that this was the case for everyone, there were massive discrepancies across the landmass of the country (European Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and the Baltic States did much better than the Caucus and Asian portions of the USSR), but from the post-war period onward, famine was non-existent, there was a bare minimum quality of life that everyone had, it became one of the most highly educated and specialised societies, and it was unquestionably the most equal in respect to gender, racial, and ethnic equality. Again, I am not giving an argument, I am only stating facts, and one of the major drives behind the Civil Right Act and the Great Society programs in the United States during the 50s and 60s was because the U.S. government was afraid that the population would eventually catch onto the fact that under Soviet socialism, the population was starting to have a qualitatively more comfortable existence than in the U.S., and particularly for women and minority groups.
