I wonder where this ranks in my all-time list nowadays

sub-150? Definitely, it's not in the higher echelons of 4dom, that's borderline 4.5 territory

sub-250? Perhaps

sub-400? Damn, surely not?

No I think both age like fine wine for their time, hard to listen to Homesick Subterranean Alien, Exit Music, etc. and think they aren’t aging well

Yeah, this album is pretty damn timeless tbh

That being said- the unavoidable Radiohead fandom crossroads happens for us all, when one album that was our favorite becomes second fiddle to another one that we once thought to be inferior lol

A lot of this sounds (mostly) pleasantly dated yes

Kid A hasn't aged specifically badly, but I think the novelty of its style change (and a decent part of its immediate relevance) belongs to history now - not nearly as much of a shock to hear a band working without guitars etc now

Yeah I guess “dated” is a flawed term, both positively and negatively, to use when judging classic albums. Like of course Bach’s compositions sound dated to us nowadays lol… not saying this is comparable to that but you get the point

I’ve slowly graduated into the “In Rainbows” is the far superior album over time, with this one being my favorite during the first few years of my Radiohead dive

Yeah, I've noticed that a lot of people have veered toward In Rainbows as their favorite these days. Definitely understandable though, and the album sits quite comfortably in my top 3
