Considering I'm not a fan of his screams, of course i'd say that. I'm not saying he's perfect here, but the horrible moments are fewer than the rest

Not gonna lie, I laughed way harder than I should've at Talons's M. Shadows impression.

Regardless of how anybody feels about the album on a whole, it's hard to deny how awesome The Wicked End is.

Disregard this album, jam Waking the Fallen instead.

I'm a sucker for dem solos, even if everything else is just kinda your standard rock/metal outing.

Basically I want to extract the guitar solos from this bands' collective work and ignore all else.

Really the vocalist has always been the problem. That and the fact that they spent the second half of their career or longer trying to be some horrid blend of Metallica and Guns N' Roses.

Not even Guns N' Roses wanted to be Guns N' Roses.
A Slash/Gates collab would probably be pretty sweet, maybe haha

I've honestly never found Shadows' vocals to be all that problematic. I dunno, they're not really offensively bad to me. Comparing them to Axl isn't really fair, I mean there's bad and then there's GNR. At least Shadows has a pretty powerful voice, though I agree it's grating at some points. *cough*Trashed and Scattered*cough*

Definitely. I haven't heard Waking the Fallen, but I have no desire to listen to it.

Yeah, I know his voice definitely is hard to listen to at some times, but at least here those moments are fairly minimal.

They've still not done anything in their career better than Save Me in my books, though. Honestly, if Nightmare had been an album where every song was up to that standard, it would be like a low 4, but then there's tracks like Tonight The World Dies.

S/T and Hail are pretty weak though. Almost Easy is fucking terrible.
