When I was 10 or 11 my grandfather secretly took me out shooting for the first time in the woods behind his house, and didn't give me any ear protection. I could barely hear anything for several days. Have had noticeable tinnitus ever since.
Went to plenty of shows as a teen without ear plugs and definitely made it worse. Long story shot I'm full earplug gang now. I can confirm the hearing damage is not even remotely worth it. Wear earplugs kids.
