nah lysf is better

nah man, by the time slow riot came out they really figured out how to integrate their samples effectively, and by the time lysf came out, they were writing shit that just exists on a different plane. i'm not articulate enough to describe the way lysf makes me feel, so i'm not even gonna try.

I rarely listen to slow riot. I still have it as a 4.5 though

slow riot is great but it doesn't feel as purposeful as any of their other releases, this included, although i definitely prefer it to this.

but honestly even putting f# at a 3.5 feels slimy to me. the quality here is obvious, but the question with all godspeed is just the degree of quality.

i have a ratings wipe pending or i'd change it. i'm going to see this band in april, solemnly anticipating the out-of-body experience i know it's going to be.
