i imagine the people who do that kinda stuff don't entirely understand that what they're doing is wrong, especially when they were also pretty drunk.



feel like even the best case scenario (short of this all being revealed as a farce)... that he drunkenly slept with a girl that he drunkenly judged to be not as intoxicated as she actually was, and then later dm'd her to talk about how awesome this (in his mind) consensual sex was... gets heavily contradicted by the story mentioning he was continually buying this already drunk girl even more shots and her friend trying to fight dustie over it. comes off like he very much knew what he was doing

there was another comment in the current stickied post claiming to have talked to "someone very close to the band" who said none of the other members knew anything about the allegation that blew up on reddit last week



but yeah now that it seems like this was a potentially recurring thing he was doing it does not reflect very well on the rest of the band

I always felt like Dustie was at odds with the other guys given that they are all straight edge (minus Blake maybe). Perhaps they kept him at arms length due to the alcohol and drug problem, and adopted a live and let live attitude, and just didn't interact with him much on a non-professional level. That or maybe they were in denial if they ever heard rumors of any allegations. Either way you try to frame it, it doesn't look good for the band, and if it ever were to surface that that they were aware of recurring abuse and chose not to act, I'm done with the band.
