i've been slowly letting the lyrics on this thing unfurl and i adore them, especially "Great Mass of Color" and its musings on closeness in the last verse. hits home to an almost uncomfortable degree, aside from the vivid descriptions of insomnia lasting into the early morning hours.
the whole thing is just a beautiful wash and i associate it w/ those tender hours that lend themselves to late night/morning reflection with a side of sleep deprivation.

Tremolo picking bruv
And this is amazing, but I wouldn't go THAT far. Not nearly as monumental as Sunbather was and still is.

I disagree with this review, the songs are well written, interesting (for the genre) and sound great. I think they should have kept the screaming and increase the singing but still this is a pretty good album. I personally love the vocals, they remind me of the british band delays. They dont carry the songs but they provide an evocative cushion for the music.
