Not sure if these guys are actually worse now than they were in 2015 or if I'm just 8 years older and more jaded but either way I'm not really that interested in them anymore. Similar to Jason Isbell, I'm pretty bored by most of their soapboxing though I agree with it almost to a word

mike is fine / sometimes pretty fun on the rtj albums. bounces off el-p well like deez said. but everything i've heard besides "the whole world" involving mike without el-p is very not good

Mama Said kinda sucks too ngl. Ju$t is cool and I remember liking the one where 2 Chainz says he'll buy a hot dog stand if he's tryna be frank

This might be one of my favorite albums of the past 5 years or so.
Jamming this again now and Jeeeeezzus. But also their entire discography is insane, I'm obsessed.

yeah see I’ve literally only ever heard of Mobb Deep, and I don’t think I’ve heard a single song by them lol.
Out of all of those which would you say has the best interplay? I really like it when rappers switch it up mid verse or even mid bar.

Prob Can ox (El-P) produced
or Armand hammer but probably start with their real early stuff.
I did like RTJ at first was great to hear EL-P back, And I did enjoy 2 for a little while but both grown off me tremendously. Saw them on their first tour, was great. Then they became that band people would bring up at 2am like they were some underground secret even though they where packing out massive venues and im FAR too much of an elitist to deal with that and bring up DefJux ffs. Plus even though the beats where more simplified El-P they still banged and where fun but (for me) it got old fast and these last 2....urghh...

C4C probably doesn't hold up as well as I remember but Fantastic Damage is top tier shit
And yeah Cannibal Ox's Cold Vein is probably my favorite hip-hop record in general
