if I wanted music that just sounded good, I'd find a pop playlist on YouTube and just hit shuffle. IG sounds bland, uninspired. it doesn't have any substance compared to other DGD albums.

and about Afterburner, it was a risky album for them. they went very experimental. the whole album's full of hit or miss.



most accessible track on there is Strawberry's Wake, with the best tracks being Parody Catharsis, Nothing Shameful, Say Hi. they're top 10 DGD tracks but they're less accessible than the other albums so if you like them, you like them, if you don't, you hate them. that's why the fanbase thinks it's their worst album while I think this is better than most of their work.

The most experimental thing they did on this album was sing in Spanish and have a chill closer lol, this is the same old DGD they've been doing for a while. Every song on here is pretty accessible, and the only song I don't like is Parallels because of Tilian's shit vocal melody choices. Say Hi, Born to Fail, and Lyrics Lie are among my favorite recent songs by them

well I said the whole album was full of hit or misses and I think you just picked the latter on Parody Catharsis and Nothing Shameful, those tracks are better than Say Hi imo in this album while all being top 10 DGD. and that's why you call this album their worst. like I said, Afterburner is less accessible and more experimental.

I think Artificial Selection might be my fav DGD for now. Guess it really depends what qualities you look for in this band. I'm less into chugging riffs and more about dynamical songwriting.
