Thanks! Do we already know what language they go for in a live setting?

I'd assume Swedish for the new ones

@Trifolium I was at the Bristol show. The new songs are in Swedish.

They were good. Mike was really enjoying it by the looks of it. He wore a black hat and a cowboy-ish buckle which was strange. He needed to take the hat of for each guitar-change too haha.
And Mendez has a shaved head now.

I'd honestly be quite disappointed with that set, even if you were to divide it up by release and told me I was required to pick x no. of tracks from album y etc. - those are definitely not the most pleasing results. It would be amazing to hear The Leper Affinity though. I know a lot of fans cream themselves over Deliverance/Harlequin Forest, but neither would by anywhere near my ideal set-list, so meh.
On a more positive note: I'm glad you enjoyed it Trifo.

Say some more about this.

Yeah I get that, personally I could have done without The Lotus Eater (never too big on that one) and Sorceress of course, but Nepenthe, Harlequin, Leper and Moon made me happy. I think the diversity was good too, three from the last one and one from the eight albums that came before.

I've elaborated in the past goat man, I won't descend into those dark corners again. For the record they're not bad songs at all, but in the grand scheme of their discog they're more like tier 2/2.5 than tier 1 like many consider them to be. I've actually heard Deliverance live and admittedly it was a good time.

I’ve seen these guys live about 10 times including one of the gigs where they played BWP start to finish, and I would never pay to go see them these days. We’ve reached a point where too much of the set list is bound to come from the shitty prog era albums

You never elaborated on this, cacoman.

Did I miss something? I've seen a lot of praise around these parts for both tracks and they are commonly mentioned when lists are made, sorry if I didn't provide a full survey. Also, you forgot to say 'citation needed'.

It's just because you seem to like the idea of Opeth fans creaming themselves, but if you don't want to talk about it, ok sheesh, sorry.

I do, but usually I just use a mirror. Easier.
