Really don't know what to think of his new one. I love all his records but the new one is not grabbing me like the first single did. There are some cool moments here and there but it's also pretty forgettable.

Kind of a weird moment in your life when you realize this is probably the best FJM album even if it isn't always your favorite

yeah, this might actually be the one that endures over time, i did listen to 'Honeybear' quite recently and that sounds really dated I guess, didn't hit at all

Thought this was a bloated letdown upon release but within a year it became my favorite FJM. Agreed that it still stands the test of time, and comes in just slightly above Honeybear (although I'd say that one is still superb as well).

Both singles from the new album have really blown me away, I think this next album could be a new peak for him

Ordered the new vinyl so naturally I downloaded the entire thing. It’s really really good.

This new one might be his best, lyrically he's on another level.

Haven't focused in on the lyrics yet, I think I really need to to make that breakthrough with it - some of the arrangements aren't snagging me too much

i always thought this would sound more indie and less elton john-like
and i absolutely never thought he would have a credit on the first demon hunter album

It’s astounding how little he does with his voice to carry this 74 minute snooze fest. It’s so painfully indulgent. Not bad lyrically at all. I love lots of the lyrics. The rest is just so unexciting.

The production is really good on the new one, but idk doesn't quite grab me as much as Honeybear did
