I'm very close to ordering ire works as well, just to complete the set, even though I'm poor.

"CI youre talking blasphemy right now"
I'm Dillinger's best album, I can't do wrong :P
Ire Works as I said it more throwing everything in the kitchen sink and going so hard, so it works. Unrestrained creativity while this is approching that tempidly.

It's my own fault. Oh well, I still got my 2 favorite dillinger albums. MM was my first dillinger album, so I might favor that based on sentimentality more than anything.

i don't really think Ire Works is a "mess" anymore tbh, i think every song is placed right where it should be. and there's always at least one classic heavy Dillinger tune before every Black Bubblegum, Sick on Sunday, etc. i think i like that album more than this now actually

It's paced better I think, but this has the highest concentration of my favorite dillinger songs. CI is the perfect balance of both.

CI just sounds so... tame compared to every album after it. hardly even listen to it anymore. and even back when i was listening to it a lot there were still some moments when it sputtered a bit

How is CI tame? It's so raw and desperate compared to the rest of their albums.

it's obviously not tame. just tame compared to all the albums that came after. there's so many new textures and dynamics on Miss Machine-onward that CI doesn't even reach for. now whenever i listen to it i feel like it's missing something. Dimitri is a pretty weak vocalist compared to Greg too. his vocals fit CI perfectly, but after that album this band just became a whole new monster, with a bunch of interesting new limbs

Fair enough, either way I think we can agree that Dillinger are the shit. Despite that damn Greg should do more stuff with The Black Queen if their first album is constant quality.

They're my third favorite band, man. People call them "mathcore," but nah... they're just Dillinger. People try to imitate them, but no one really succeeds. And I've never even heard of that project. damn

They're 3rd for me (2nd until Dir en Grey took over my life), love them so much. Check these songs they've released Brick, they're so good:

i listened to that first one, i'll check the other one when i get back from work. but damn, that was pretty great. usually i'm not a fan of those really clicky beats- it kinda reminds me of a lot of shitty modern hip-hop haha but the rest of the atmosphere really made it work. fuckin awesome that Greg is doing that. i bet there's gonna be a bunch of people lovin that shit that have never even heard of Dillinger haha

Yeah, loving the new project, really hyped for the album. Dillinger are probably my second favorite band, maybe third.

ordered all 3 silver rereleases
imo the production on here is the only thing that holds it back, this with OP production would be unreal (still potential fav tho)
