Whenever I listen to them I do always think of Peter Griffin turning to the camera and saying something like 'and as one is brown and one is white that makes it even more especial for the audience' like he did on the Family Guy Shawshank spoof but meh they do have this undeniable chemistry so I feel I'm above that. I hope.

They do occasionally go deeper (eg: Thursday in the Danger Room), and while El-P's verse on that really resonates with me, the track is a bit of an outlier. I agree that endless debates intellectualising them is a no-win situation for anyone.
