Actually, I thought PC was the most focused of all the new albums so far. Heritage was probably the most scatterbrained and sloppily constructed album of the three for me, which is a big reason of why it's also one of my least favorite Opeth albums. Sorceress was pretty inconsistent at times too, but it's much more fun to listen to because of its variety and the return of more prog metal elements into the mix

Heritage and Watershed are tied for their strongest since Ghost Reveries imo but this is really enjoyable yeah

Saw these guys live a couple of days ago, they played Ghost of Perdition, Deliverance, Demon of the Fall, and Heir Apparent. Never thought I would hear those live after their change in sound, and it sounded excellent.

I mean, my own opinion is divisive in itself.

The good things prevail though, especially because I kinda appreciate how this album's incoherence and inconsistency challenged my whole rating system hahah

I'm glad some people enjoy this. I tried really hard and listened to it a lot but I can't remember hardly anything about it, no matter how much I listen to it.

Maybe it's just a glorified representation of Mikael sitting ever-so-proudly on the death of the dreams of literally everyone but himself and his brainwashed, jaded fanboys, idk. Fuck this shit.
