"New Bermuda is to Deafheaven as Deftones is to Deftones: great ideas, but missteps in execution here and there".

Rainy and grim day, still feeling depressed; time to jam this again.

If flexing because you're high on knowing your current drummer is far and beyond better than your previous drummer was an album.

The last few minutes on Come Back are stunning. Such a good album.

it's that explicit sunset-on-the-bay post-rock vibe I wish this band or at least more others highlighted in blackgaze more. deafheaven could make an entire metal album out of that.

Outside of the cheesy solo, Baby Blue is damn good

First third of Baby Blue and the solo are easily the best parts of that song. Second half of Come Back is really nice too, but this album is overall too cut-and-paste with boneheaded chugging metal sections, tho still a lot of great stuff to be found.
