Never Born isn't the greatest by itself but as a companion to Never Dead, I think it works beautifully. This is my 2nd favorite from last year behind Hotelier

I would go that far and call Trophy Scars the band of the decade so far. Seriously, Darkness, NBND and Holy Vacants.

I wouldn't go that far but whatever floats your boat. Opener and Everything Disappearing are still my fav tracks here.

I wasnt able to get into this as much as their earlier stuff either. I prefer the sound of bad luck and darkness most.

it's a little more straightforward than Bad luck but it's pretty similar to darkness, just a little grittier and more barebones

kinda hits you at times how ambitious and cinematic this is. i get chills at some times when the lyrics hit me, they're just so ridiculous and intense and the story is executed so well, and the showy, over the top guitar with the little organ suits it so well. love this album so much

one of my favorite albums and i think it's almost perfect but ngl i've always thought the relentlessly insistent vampy organ swells are a bit much, there's like 10 on every song lol

I wonder if my attitude towards their other albums has changed since I actually really enjoy this. Never enjoyed any of their previous stuff before
