Guess I should. The album title comes off as desperate so idk I shrugged it off. I don't love all wasp so I figured it was ok to ignore.

Madness is one of my bottom 10 (possibly 5) Maiden songs, but the rest of the album is fucking incredible. Moonchild is probably the best opener of their entire discog

What are you guys talking about, "Can I Play With Madness" alone has lured millions into metal.

Beyond awesome track.

I’m coming round to Maiden.

I’m still torn whether I prefer them as a somewhat raw heavy metal band on the first two or the epic stuff like this.

Ten years ago you play me this and I hear Dream Theatre fronted by Meat Loaf

I was exactly the same mate but a loan of Number of the Beast by a mate 20+ years ago broke the seal, a view on Youtube of Run to the Hills at Rio a few years later changed everything then a visit to the Cart and Horses in Stratford a few years after that and I totally understood it.

There is only one Maiden.

A lot goes back to school days...loads of people loved Maiden but it seemed old fashioned to me and I was more Nirvana, Sepultura, Nine Inch Nails and the like.

This is the first time in years half my listening is hard rock or metal of one sort or another and even more telling - 90% of what I'm listening to right now is from the '80s/'90s

I'll check some live footage of them some time, I know their live reputation is legendary.

Same, I always kinda wrote them off as a good band but like a legacy band, whereas I was into cool shit like DEATHCORE lol

Joke's on me I suppose because they rip, mostly.

Exactly doof.

It was all pomp and theatrics and seemed a world away from Nine Inch Nails when I was 14/15.

The fact that Dickinson aside they’re all genuine geezers was more proof in the pudding that they’re the absolute bollocks.
