"Cos there's something on every other DG album that I like, but not this. It was also surprising cos most people say that this is their best or second best"

but this is also universally regarded as their noisiest and least accessible album.

Seriously? Aside from Guillotine, I found it all pretty accessible, just not to my liking. Everything else apart from TMS was a bit more challenging

Wow. Pretty sure youre in the minority on that one. imo the reason why DG gained so many more fans after exmil is because their sound became cleaner and more melodic.

That makes sense for TMS, but nothing after that in my mind. I dunno, but it isn't anywhere near as inaccessible as Birds is or even Up My Sleeves

Well I definitely disagree, lol. Birds features nursery rhyme style talk-rap. it might be awkward, but its still clean and catchy when compared to a track like Blood Creepin' or Spread Eagle Cross the Block

If we're talking about vocals, then it's definitely more accessible. The abrasive qualities in the electronics is what makes it more challenging to me, however.

wasnt talking about vocals, wasnt talking about electronics, i was talking about the albums as a whole. exmilitary is their most abrasive album, period.

Man i just listened to Exmil and I'm not hearing anything you've been talking about. Can't say I agree with you at all.

It is sounding a lot better at least

Second best grips after Niggas on the moon.
I found this maybe a week or so after it was released, and it was randomly too before anyone like Fantano started giving it coverage. I know that is completely trivial, but it's a really cool feeling nonetheless.
