I think if they had the choice they would release new music regularly - they've said as much in interviews - but they made some really stupid mistakes with RR and WB that are now biting them in the ass. They likely have to jump through tons of legal loops for breaching various contracts.

Their page on Merch Direct has been redesigned with new colors and the sidebar has gone black (a'la the NWE single). Before now it was color coded specifically to the album packages in chronological order as they released (Yellow/KKBB, Blue/EYEWTKAS, Orange/W&T, Green/OCG, Red/CB), so this means something is probably happening soon. 5/13/16 (Friday) and 6/6/16 (because metal) are my best guesses for a date.
