I love TGS but I'm starting to find that Wake/Lift has a lot more meat.

On the topic of the review, I wasn't aware this band hated the post-metal label so much.

I suppose I'm not all that different though. I refuse to label my band as prog since people will ask us "Oh, so you sound like Pink Floyd???" which we don't at all.

This band can do no wrong. I still prefer Wake/Lift due to the stellar production(DAT BASS), but the melodies/soundscapes on this thing and inventive drumming are glorious.

I'm a bassist and prefer the bass production on this.

I've yet to hear their last album, but this and the previous two are inmense works. "Release", "Revolve" and the title track are eargasmic.

Man I wish there were more post-metal bands that play with groove like Rosetta did on Je N'en
