@Neutral CATCHING SIGNALS THAAT SOUUUNDDD IN THEE DARRRK

how do you not find that to be beautiful. I'll agree he is not a good singer but he like Cohen, Young, Dylan, Newsom are great singers.

"Catching Signals that sound in the dark"

fantastic melody itself

horrible vocal accompaniment

not that going over the top sucks, cause it doesn't

but he just fails at singing that melody/line

even some of Magnum's melodies themselves are breathtaking

but he cant sing them, not with technical skill or good tone

Now, Dylan and others like him may not be 'technically' great singers but they do everything else right, and their voices fit well with the music

k so after one time listening to the album, it's a very solid 4 for me, and it'll most likely hit 4.5/5 within a few weeks.

"the emotion makes up for the lack of 'technical greatness'"

it works for Dylan, Waits, etc

not for Magnum

"mangum is one of my favorite vocalists ever.

the emotion makes up for the lack of 'technical greatness'"

No offense to you particularly, but the whole 'makes up for the lack of 'technical greatness'' irks me. I don't think the emotion makes up for anything (or needs to), and I'm not sure if I can explain it right now, but basically it doesn't need to make up for anything as it's sloppiness and simplicity (which I don't think it's entirely simple either) just make its so perfect.

cant hate on IsitLuck cause he's the tits

but I disagree at that opinion on this record, but that opinion actually fits my thoughts on a few other albums

Technically great voices are a dime a dozen. Mangum's the man.
