That high note that Labrie hits is the highlight of his career.

Another Day came out 3 years too late - it could've been as big as Silent Luciditt

I'll take this over Mindcrime anyday personally.

Mindcrime is prob better than anything this band has done.
Having said that, I can't deny that Metropolis pt. 1 is a decent track.

I agree danny, but the albums are about equal in my book.

IMO this is a decent enough prog metal album with decent enough jams good enough for a couple listens now and again.
Mindcrime is on a completely different level in my book.

I've never really warmed up to mindcrime's vocals.

Interesting to see that Friday has a balanced opinion on the matter, maybe he could do a nice album comparison.

Tate easily wins against Labrie. Drumming obv. goes to Portnoy (though he gets even better).
Lyrics are equally cheesey but in different ways. Neither album has any real duds besides maybe a seemingly pointless 2 min song. I could go on, but bottom line they're both slightly flawed classics.

Not many will agree with me on this, but I prefer QR over DT on guitar.
I feel DeGarmo had more feeling in his leads than Petrucci, but obv that's not gonna be a popular opinion.
