Just because I waged Game of Musical Patriotism war on you doesn't mean that I'm overly emotive or dislike you, it just means that you shall be slain as KILL would put it.

Kid A is great but it sure as hell isn't the classic everyone makes it out to be OK Computer is way better, but Parachutes isn't anything more than above average. No contest Idioteque rules.

And you aren't exactly in the position to criticize other people for hating on mainstream albums Baseline I remember seeing approximately 127 albums 1'd on your list that all happened to have received mainstream success including Watershed.

It's one of Opeth's weaker albums sure but there's no way in hell you can argue that it's a 1 Heir Apparent, The Lotus Eater, Hessian Peel and Hex Omega all rule.

What about either of those two songs are "Shit" how can you not like that trippy jam session in The Lotus Eater and the riffs in the second half of Hessian Peel.

"a bunch of amazing parts thrown together into a mess of a song." The same could be said about a lot of Opeth songs like The Funeral Portrait and Godhead's Lament but most end up being entertaining anyway.

Yeah it gets a little bit annoying to have to listen to the full 10 minutes of an inconsistent song to hear that one part that you like but I'm used to it by now with the 1000s of Opeth and Dream Theater plays I have logged into my music library.

Skull, I barely ever listen to songs like The Funeral Portrait, or By the Pain I See in Others, that have about 2 good moments in 10 mins coz I could listen to Blackwater Park, Deliverance or Advent instead, and they rule all the way through

I have at least 50 plays logged into each of those sometimes I need to shake it up and put on some of the lower-tier songs.

Fair play, I don't listen to Opeth much atm, but when I do, it's always the best songs
