this is such a winter album

I really don't understand this, at all. What songs are wintery? In The Flowers, Summertime Clothes, Guys Eyes, Lion In A Coma, Brothersport, all these songs are up-beat, energetic, summery.

why does upbeat and energetic have to mean summer? the songs to me give me the same feeling being wrapped up in a warm blanket with hot chocolate while it storms outside. it has that kind of escapist, safe place feel to it

well going to the beach, partying, sunny days, all of these upbeat things are associated with summer. Winter is not a very energetic season since its cold blah blah blah. MPP is a sunny, energetic, party, summer album to me. I can think of many other albums that fit that wintery, peaceful, escaping mood far better then this.

I'd disagree with you there... While it does have an escapist feel, it seems like an energetic album for driving around with the windows down or screwing around with friends while this is blaring. I never really get a warm fuzzy feeling I would associate with being indoors during the wintertime, or a barren desolate feel which would be outside during winter...

no Brothersport is like leaping into the jungle in a sprint and singing your guts out.

its just so euphoric and epic at the end. I get that its about loving your family and stuff, but the "up until fully grown you've a real good shot. Won't help to hold inside, keep it real keep it real shout out" part is nothing like winter to me.

Meh.

winter is when this album came out, so it's not surprising that I think of snow when listening to bluish

see but my family NEVER shouts. They're all boring naggy people. The way this sounds reminds me nothing of family it's all about friends and livin it up but I do know that some of the lyrical themes are about family.
