oh boy.. I think Lethe is a good song lyrically. It's a metaphor for alcohol, and I think it's a pretty relevant analogy, and quite poetic
Edenspring is about alcohol. Lethe is about sex addiction in a codependent relationship. Both among the best on the album

"Looks like we found the angry fanboy"
Yeah i'm very angry for something that doesn't affect me in any way
Lethe being about alcohol makes more sense judging by the name of the track btw

I've always been a sucker for Last Resort. That's just a damn good map. And gotta love Sandtrap for the Elephant shenanigans

Lethe has awesome lyrics, like most DT songs do.
And Lethe seems like it could be about drinking too, not just the name but right from the start when he says "Give me to drink of the fluid that disintegrates...". It can definitely be interpreted that way even if they intended something else.

i think lethe is really just about river lethe mythology nothing else

Lyrics are too emotional to just be about the myth imo. Plus there's really not much about the myth itself in the song anyway. I think Lethe is just a metaphor for something e.g. drinking, could even apply it to drugs or anything that might help you forget whatever shitty memories you're trying to drown out.

checks out. must take a pretty tortured soul to write songs like these.

High Ground is perfect for any kind of Attack - Defend mode like 1 bomb or 1 flag CTF. It's structured for it in such an ideal manner.
Narrows is definitely a classic if for nothing else than for those fails haha. If you've never had a bump on one of the mancannons then you haven't lived

Yeah for sure. I love how you can hear that emotion so strongly in the vocals and the music too. That song is so perfect (well, whole album is haha but yeah).

"Edenspring" are "Lethe" are clearly about getting drunk and I believe the band has stated so. Stanne and Sundin were 20 when they wrote the lyrics of course they're gonna write about drinking. "Edenspring" is Stanne's and "Lethe" is Sundin's, and I think Sundin did it better.

Agreed on both points. Sundin definitely did it better but I still love Edenspring. Lethe just has more of an emotional impact. I still find the lyrics to Lethe quite easy to apply to drug addiction as well, and probably other things, even if it was written about drinking.
I've always applied those lyrics to my own struggles with opiate addiction in the past. I don't use anymore, going on 6 years, but that song will always hold special significance to me because of that. Not that anyone asked, but whatever lol. When I saw them live for the first time, I almost shit myself when I heard the intro to that song start up.
