Idk I’d take that was just your life + all nightmare long over this whole thing

But it’s definitely interesting

That's fair. Metallica these days just don't interest me much post-Load apart from this and Lulu.

Yeah the singles of 72 season, whilst better than a lot of stuff on this, made me feel absolutely nothing at all.

I’ll take a swing and a miss over abject mediocrity any day

so then 72 seasons must be a 1.0 for you, right?

because something interesting must be getting a higher score then something thats not interesting, right?

unless you believe in the concept of objective quality in art which would be unfortunate.

always liked this album, I'll take the raw production over the sterile af production of 72 seasons any day. If this was half the length and better lyrics coulda been a 4 or 4.5 from me

if the songs were all chopped in half I could see myself going up to 3-3.5

why they decided to make every song an 8 minute slog is beyond me

I've stated this before this album would actually be solid as shit with a better snare drum there's a lot of great hetfield riffs here. Throw in some solid late 90s early 2000s Kirk solos and get a better snare sound... prob get rid of the documentary and this would be viewed as a return to form a solid HEAVY metallica record after load/reload. Really the only reason this album is viewed as it is is over that snare and lack of solos

I think even if the snare and the song lengths were addressed this would still suck ass
