This is a good album but their poorest attempt at songwriting. Aside from Thaw, Distance and Meaning and the title track, this is pretty generic.

It seems with every generation of sputnikers there is always a whole bunch of people that decide to go against the vast majority and decide that Converge are just noise.



And every time, we just insult their naivety. You'd think after going through the 70 or so pages of comments and noting the dozens of sputnikers who said the exact same thing then got their opinion changed after letting it grow on them, they'd see that their opinion isn't really unique at all...

I made the mistake of dissing them on here before, but I had never given them a chance before that. I gave Jane Doe and Axe To Fall a listen and now I'm just hooked. They are a great band. Every album I've listened to by them so far is so fucking intense.
